ScyllaDB
ScyllaDB is a software company, providing the distributed database for data-intensive apps that require high performance and low latency. They reached out to me and asked me to create an introduction video for their Summit Party. As the people gathered, they would see the video welcoming them.

As the company is international, we gathered the languages that are used by the employees and showed Scyllas saying “hey” in all of them to make everybody feel welcome. The video was supposed to be played over and over for an hour, so I’ve decided to not finish the story on the logo lockup, but instead continue it as a seamless loop.
Using the company color palette, I enriched it with shades of blues and violets that correspond well with the Scylla mascots. In the design I used some premium ready assets and adjusted them accrodingly in colors and shapes to make everything consistent with my own designs and on brand.
ScyllaDB has their own mascot, the cute blue monster called… yes, you guessed it, Scylla. Working closely with the ScyllaDB team, I came up with a little story following Scyllas on their journey to the summit - talking on a video call, travel and the party - that mirrors the journey of the employees attending the summit. Using the mascot insted of people strenghtened the brand’s presence and at the same time added a fun element.
